With the Cory Monteith tribute of “Glee” fast approaching, details about the episode, which is sure to be a tearjerker, are coming to light.
For the episode, Monteith’s co-star and longtime girlfriend, Lea Michele, has been rumored to appear in the episode in a “limited but incredibly powerful” capacity, possibly not showing up until the final act.
According to Perez Hilton, Michele will resurface to sing a show-stopping rendition of “Seasons of Love” from “Rent,” which is described as a song that “truly captures what it means to overcome struggles in the name of life’s true meaning.”
As previously reported, the episode will address the death of Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, though creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the cause of death will not play into the storyline.
“Glee” returns to FOX on Thursday, September 26 at 9pm with a two-part Beatles tribute leading up to Cory’s episode on October 10th.
