After starring in the controversial video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” model Emily Ratajkowski has scored a major role opposite Ben Affleck in “Gone Girl.”
The film, an adaptation of the highly-anticipated novel by Gillian Flynn, stars Affleck as Nick Dunne, who according to “The Wrap” is “implicated in the disappearance of his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike).”
In her first major acting gig, Ratajkowski will play Andie, a college student who becomes romantically involved with the married Nick before turning on him after Amy goes missing.
Aside from playing the central model in the video for what is arguably 2013’s “song of summer,” her biggest acting credit to date was an episode of “New Girl” earlier this year.
The upcoming drama also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Patrick Fugit (“Almost Famous”), Kim Dickens (“Sons of Anarchy”) and newcomer Carrie Coon as Nick’s twin sister.
“Gone Girl” will be helmed by David Fincher (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”) and is aiming for release in 2015.
