It’s official: Kate Middleton is officially back in the spotlight after welcoming her first child earlier this year.

Kate stunned in a glittering floor-length Jenny Packham gown at the Tusk Trust Awards, the U.K.’s “Mirror” reports.

The royal’s first major event comes 52 days after she gave birth to Prince George, though she did make an impromptu appearance at a race on Anglesey, Wales, where she and husband Prince William stayed for several weeks.

According to “Mirror,” Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, was babysitting for the royal couple in order for them to attend the big event, which stems from William’s passion for African conservation work.

When asked about baby George by Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba, Kate replied, “Like most babies, he’s a mix of both of us.”

Earlier today, the palace announced that William would be stepping down from the military, moving into Kensington Palace in the next few weeks to focus on his charity work and the efforts of his family.
