Lady Gaga hit the stage hard on “Good Morning America” on Monday morning, where she performed her new single “Applause.”
While she often seems like she’s from another world, her performance was truly inspired by another land… the land of Oz.
Gaga kicked off her performance in a full Dorothy Gale get-up, complete with a gingham dress, a basket with an adorable puppy inside and a few famous sidekicks as well.
After beginning with an a capella rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” the singer then launched into a live performance of “Applause,” Vulture reports.
Gaga skipped down the yellow brick road after saying, “Well, I live for your applause. Shall we make our way to Oz?”
The performance came complete with an audience dressed like a field of poppies and a cameo by the Wicked Witch.
