Are you ready for more “RoboCop”? Either way, the sci-fi franchise from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s is getting an update.
However, instead of Peter Weller stepping into the iconic suit, “The Killing” actor Joel Kinnaman, also known for being the real-life beau of Olivia Munn, is stepping in as RoboCop.
The reboot follows Kinnaman’s Alex Murphy, a cop who nearly dies, yet through medical experimentation, lives on as a cyborg.
Abbie Cornish as the title character’s wife, a mother who struggles to keep her husband human after he takes on the form of RoboCop.
Despite the film’s B-movie aura, it has a surprisingly capable cast that also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton, according “The Hollywood Reporter.”
