As the cast of “Glee” continues filming their emotional tribute to the late Cory Monteith, at least they’ll have some familiar faces to get them through.
E! News reports that along with the show’s regular cast, returning for the episode are Amber Riley (Mercedes), Jayma Mays (Emma), Mark Salling (Puck) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang).
The parents of Monteith’s character, mother Carole and step-father Burt Hummel, played by Romy Rosemont and Mike O’Malley, respectively, are also slated to appear.
On shooting the tribute, “Glee” regular Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, told E!, “It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s the hardest thing to do. It’s been the worst week ever.”
Her co-star, Darren Criss (Blaine), echoed that sentiment, admitting that the scenes were “tough to shoot.”
“It’s something that needs to happen for the fans. I don’t know, it’s going to be tough,” he added. “But it will be very poignant and hopefully very moving, and just that: a tribute.”
Though much about the episode is being kept under wraps, it has been titled “The Quarterback” and will not explain how Finn dies, instead choosing to celebrate the character and the actor’s lives.
