Evan Ross is the latest actor to join the sprawling cast of the upcoming two-part finale of “The Hunger Games” franchise, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2.”
While the name alone might not ring any bells, Ross, who is a relative newcomer in the acting world, is perhaps better known as the new boyfriend of Ashlee Simpson, Zap2it reports.
The pair stepped out as a couple for the first time in late July to celebrate the new fashion line from Simpson’s sister, Jessica Simpson.
Like his singer-actress girlfriend, he comes from a famous family himself, as he is the son of Diana Ross and the half-brother of Tracee Ellis Ross (“Girlfriends”).
The actor, who most notably starred as Liam’s (Matt Lanter) half-brother on the CW’s “90210” reboot, will star as Messalla alongside “Game of Thrones” star Natalie Dormer, playing Cressida.
The first part of “Mockingjay” is due out next November, but first, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” hits theaters on November 22.
