The upcoming fifth installment in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” has gotten an official title, and boy, it’s a long one.

According to This is Infamous, dicrectors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg have revealed that the new film will be titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”

That title is reportedly tied heavily into the Disneyland “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride, and the phrase is familiar to any fan of the pirate genre, so “Dead Men Tell No Tales” shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

Not much else is known about the film, but the directors would say that unlike the preceding “On Stranger Tides,” this film will have a stand-alone story while also tying into the overarching mythology of the film series.

Only Johnny Depp is confirmed to star in the “Dead Men,” but with a release set for 2015, casting will take place sooner rather than later to be reading for filming next year.
