After Kelly Clarkson’s comments about her plans to elope sparked rumors that she is pregnant, the original “American Idol” is setting the record straight.

Last night, the singer took to Twitter in an attempt to get her message right to her fans:

Clarkson’s straightforward tweet comes just one day after she spoke with “People,” telling the magazine that her busy schedule led her and fiancé Brandon Blackstock to scrap their wedding plans.

Instead, they sent an engagement photo to previously-invited guests, saying they wanted a private wedding with just the happy couple and Blackstock’s two children from a previous relationship.

“Our whole life is a celebration. That’s what we kept laughing about,” Clarkson said at the time. “We don’t need another day where we throw a big party. Our lives are so in the spotlight all the time.”

At the very least, Kelly will have her new wedding-themed song, “Tie It Up,” to serenade them after the intimate ceremony.
