First Bradley Cooper starred with an animated giraffe in this summer’s “The Hangover Part III,” and now the A-list star is getting animated himself.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Cooper is in talks with Marvel to voice the character of Rocket Raccoon in “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
If the deal comes through, the actor would join an all-star cast that includes Chris Pratt (“Parks & Recreation”), Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace (“Pushing Daisies”), Benicio Del Toro, Glenn Close and Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, a giant tree-man.
Though the upcoming film is a live-action sci-fi adventure, the fan-favorite raccoon will be computer generated.
In other Marvel news, up-and-comer Elizabeth Olson is negotiating to play the role of the Scarlet Witch, who “has the power to affect certain outcomes by altering probabilities,” in “The Avengers: The Age of Ultron.”
Although Loki will appear in “Thor: The Dark World” this November, Tom Hiddleston is not set to reprise his deliciously devious role in the Avengers sequel.
