Fall TV season is nearly upon us, and while that is usually a joyous time of the year, the cast of “Glee” is understandably not in a cheery mood.

Speaking to E! News, Sue Sylvester’s portrayer, Jane Lynch, opened up about returning to set after Cory Monteith’s death and preparing to shoot the tribute episode in his honor.

“It’s gonna be awful,” she says of the episode dedicated to Finn Hudson. “It’s gonna be terrible. It has to be done but it’s gonna be terrible.”

Lynch revealed that the episode will begin Friday, though she has not yet read the script. Though creator Ryan Murphy originally planned for Finn to die from a drug overdose, the writers changed their minds, choosing instead to focus less on the cause of death and more on the celebration of the character’s life.

This is the latest news from “Glee,” which has recently added singer-actress Demi Lovato as a new pal for Rachel and Santana, while E! also has a first-look photo from the set of “Glee,” which captures one of the show’s fan favorite couples locking lips during a scene from the upcoming fifth season.

“Glee” returns on Thursday, 26 at 9pm on FOX.
