Former “The Bachelor” star Gia Allemand has passed away in New Orleans at the age of 29.

According to E! News, after an alleged suicide attempt, she reportedly lost critical brain and organ function.

Allemand was hospitalized in critical condition and put on life support, but she has since passed away.

A statement from her rep confirmed that Allemand was brought to the hospital after “a serious emergency medical event,” according to CNN.

The reality star had been dating NBA player Ryan Anderson from the New Orleans Pelicans for some time. “Extra” reports that he and Allemand’s mother are with her at the hospital and are asking for privacy.

Allemand was featured on Jake Pavelka’s season of “The Bachelor” back in 2010. She was in the top 3, and while he eventually chose his now ex-fiance Vienna Girardi, she returned to compete as a contestant on “Bachelor Pad.”
