“Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa and Joe Giudice pleaded not guilty in court today.
The pair made their pleas in U.S. District Court today, though neither of them spoke during the hearing, according to the “Hollywood Reporter.”
The Giudices were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and other charges. The judge has set a trial date for October 8 in the case, which alleges that the couple committed bank fraud and made false statements on loan applications.
Joe Giudice also stands accused of failing to file taxes over a four-year period. If he is found guilty, the Italian citizen could be deported.
The fate of “RHONJ” is up in the air as well, in light of the recent allegations against the series’ stars. Though the show is currently airing its fifth season, rumor has it that Bravo boss Andy Cohen is considering cancelling the series.
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
