There’s good news for anyone who has wished that Nicholas Sparks would release a new movie every week.
Lifetime has just ordered a two-hour movie from the bestselling “The Notebook” author, and depending on the ratings, “Deliverance Creek” could be a weekly hour-long TV series, “Deadline” reports.
The project takes place at the tail-end of the Civil War and follows a woman named Belle Barlowe who will do anything to retain control of her family’s land.
“When the corrupt bank that runs their town pushes Belle into becoming an outlaw, the stakes become personal, setting off a chain of events that force her to question whether it’s better to be good or to survive,” according to Deadline.
While “Deliverance Creek” seems like a change of pace for Sparks, we’re betting that Belle will find herself in the middle of an epic love story along the way.
The cast for the project has not yet been assembled, but the film will likely premiere next year on Lifetime.
