Drew Barrymore and her husband, Will Kopelman, welcomed their first child 10 months ago, and it sounds like the adorable couple is already ready for more!
For the September issue of “InStyle,” Drew opened up about her childhood and whether she’s looking to give her baby Olive a sibling.
“I was an only child, and it was lonely,” she said, according to “Us.” “Some people love it and thrive on the independence, but I want my kids to have other kids around. Maybe two kids so they can run around life together, roll their eyes at their parents together like Rusty and Audrey Griswold from “[National Lampoon’s] Vacation.”
The 38-year-old star added that while being a mom is filled with “a lot of pain and a lot of nervousness,” that fear comes from that common feeling of wanting to be the perfect parent.
“I have anxieties about how much I’d like to get it right, making sure I provide her with an environment that’s safe, nurturing, and loving,” Drew explained. “And silly and free, also consistent and grounding. Then I just have the same typical fear every other parent has: Are they going to fall down?”
The “Going the Distance” star described her relationship with her hubby as “a nice balance of opposition and similarities” and that his calm demeanor has rubbed off on her.
