The last two movies Cory Monteith filmed before his death last month will now both have their world premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.
Before he died of an accidental overdose from drugs and alcohol, Monteith had wrapped work on “McCanick,” in which he starred as “a street hustler struggling with addiction,” according to “The Hollywood Reporter.” Here’s a clip from the film:
The actor was also set to premiere another drama called “All the Wrong Reasons” at TIFF. In the film, he played the manager of a department store.
Ahead of the fifth season premiere of “Glee,” in which Monteith played Finn Hudson, his co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele gave a speech in his honor at the Teen Choice Awards 2013 when she won for Choice TV actress.
When “Glee” returns, the first two episodes will be pre-written Beatles episodes, while the season’s third episode on October 10 will be dedicated to Finn’s death and “will deal directly with drug addiction.”
