After keeping it quiet for the past several months, Dustin Hoffman revealed this week that he recently underwent treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
A rep for the 75-year old star confirmed to “People that he had been both diagnosed and treated for cancer, though no further details were revealed.
“It was detected early and he has been surgically cured,” she said. “Dustin is feeling great and is in good health.”
The actor will continue preventative treatment in order to minimize the chances for the cancer to return.
Hoffman most recently appeared in HBO’s “Luck,” which was cancelled after one season. He then took a behind-the-scenes role as director on “Quartet,” a film released earlier this year.
