Lady Gaga
is gearing up for the premiere of her much-anticipated single “Applause” later this month, and it looks like the pop star has another reason to clap.

Pop2it reports that the singer has been granted the right to keep sensitive information kept out of open court.

Gaga is only tangentially related to the lawsuit between her ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari and their former friend, Wendy Starland.

Though the duo is battling over money for the alleged “discovery” of the famous singer, she was not part of the suit until it was determined that these documents could be used in the case and could possibly damage her career.

The judge agreed with Gaga, so she can get back to promoting her new song, which is due out on August 19. On Sunday, she tweeted out a sample of the single’s lyrics:
