Julianne Hough’s transition from “Dancing with the Stars” pro to movie star is complete.
After charming viewers in “Footloose” and Nicholas Sparks’s “Safe Haven,” Julianne takes center stage in “Paradise.” According to “Entertainment Weekly,” the first trailer for the upcoming comedy has just been released ahead of its fall release.
In the movie, the dancer-turned-actress plays a religious woman named Lamb who survives a plane crash, leading her to create a bucket list that includes going to Vegas to “walk on the wild side.”
“Paradise” also stars “The Help” actress Octavia Spencer, Nick Offerman (“Parks & Recreation”) and Russell Brand, as well as marking “Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody’s directorial debut.
While “Paradise” won’t hit theaters until October 18, the movie will premiere on DirecTV on Friday, August 9.
