Following a court appearance this morning, Real Housewife Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe were released on $500,000 bond each.
However, the couple is not out of hot water yet, with “People” now reporting that Joe, an Italian citizen, faces deportation if convicted.
The Giudices were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and other charges, with Joe also being investigated for several years of alleged tax evasion.
Among the charges, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars are accused of allegedly submitting fake paystubs and W-2s to finance a mortgage and other loans between 2001 and 2008.
The pair is due back in court in mid-August, before which they are unable to travel outside of New Jersey and New York.
Teresa and her husband have been featured on the Bravo reality series since it debuted in 2009, and it’s unclear what impact these charges will have on their ability to appear on the show.
