While the end of summer is approaching much too quickly, one reason to look forward to September is the return of Showtime’s “Homeland.”
The Claire Danes-starring drama will enter its third season this fall, Yahoo! reports, and the network has unveiled a teaser trailer to get fans primed for new episodes.
The 30-second trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it does feature whispers from Sergeant Brody (Damian Lewis), hinting that while the war veteran may be on the lam, his presence will continue to loom over the hit series.
“Homeland” also stars Mandy Patinkin (“Criminal Minds”) and Morena Baccarin (“Firefly”), with Diego Klattenhoff, who played Brody’s best friend on the series, set to guest star now that he is co-starring in NBC’s fall drama “The Blacklist.”
The Showtime hit won six Emmys last year, including Outstanding Drama Series and an Outstanding Lead Actress statue for Danes.
The third season of “Homeland” begins on September 29 at 9pm.
