Though Amanda Bynes’s parents are allegedly heading to court this morning, Amanda's psyciatric hold has already been extended to two weeks.
Lynn and Rick Bynes will appear before a judge on Friday, July 26 in order to request a conservatorship to control their daughter’s personal and financial decisions, TMZ reports.
Despite the judge's ruling, Amanda will continue to be kept on a psychiatric hold for two weeks after reportedly setting a fire in the Thousand Oaks subdivision near her parents’ California home.
TMZ has uncovered more alleged details about the troubled star’s mental state, with sources saying that her doctors believe she is suffering from “schizophrenic tendencies.”
The sources also told TMZ that the actress has had major shifts in her mental state, appearing lucid for long periods of time before veering into unstable behavior, to the point where she needed to be restrained physically.
According to the report, Amanda’s drug test showed up negative other than marijuana. Her doctors are said to be looking to extend her psychiatric evaluation beyond the initial 72 hours.
