Prince George is less than a week old, but his grandparents are wasting no time in swooping in to dote on their newborn grandson.
According to “Us Weekly,” new parents Prince William and Kate Middleton have been hiding away in the English countryside near the home where Kate’s parents live.
The royal couple are said to be enjoying this time to bond with new baby George and being near his maternal grandparents.
“This is now private and quiet time for them to get to know their son,” a palace rep told “Us.”
Another of George’s grandparents, Prince Charles, is also speaking out about what it’s been like being a proud new grandpa.
“It’s fun to be a grandfather,” the Prince of Wales shared while opening a new garden near a railway station in England, “The Daily Mail” reports.
The royal baby’s name was announced just two days after Kate gave birth, with William and Kate settling on the full name of George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.
