Jason Sudeikis is leaving the building! "Saturday Night Live"'s Studio 8H building, that is.
In an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” this week, Sudeikis confirmed his departure after ten years of working on the sketch series.
“I’m definitely done,” he told Dave. “Yeah, I’m going to leave. I’m not coming back in the fall.”
Sudeikis said his exit won’t really set in until August when the cast and writers prepares to return to “SNL.” He joked that then the ideas will start rolling, and he’ll likely think, “Can I make this sketch last 90 minutes and turn it into a movie? Probably not.”
The comedian follows Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, out the door, signaling the end of an “SNL” era.
Sudeikis, who is also engaged to girlfriend Olivia Wilde, will head back to the big screen with his faux family comedy “We’re the Millers” on August 9.
