In non-royal baby news today, Jimmy Fallon’s wife gave birth to a baby girl this week.

According to “USA Today,” 46-year-old Nancy Juvonen Fallon welcomed the as-yet-unnamed baby yesterday morning at 6:21am, with the couple reportedly “overjoyed about the arrival of their beautiful daughter.”

It is the first child for both Fallon and his wife, who have been married since December 2007.

Though Fallon, 38, was scheduled to tape a new episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” yesterday, NBC re-aired an old episode of the show in its place.

No word on when the show will return, but Fallon will have to return to work soon in order to prepare for his new job hosting “The Tonight Show,” replacing the outgoing Jay Leno.

The switch is likely to happen before the Winter Olympics in early 2014, with "SNL" writer Seth Meyers taking over on "Late Night."

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” airs weeknights at 12:35am on NBC.
