After nearly 30 years together, Tina Turner has tied the knot with Erwin Bach.
The 73-year-old diva married the German-born producer in a suburb near Zurich, Switzerland, where the pair has lived together more than 15 years, “Reuters” reports.
After a civil ceremony, the couple is reportedly planning a Buddhist ceremony at their waterfront home. Turner is having a stage built for the event and reportedly sent her neighbors fliers in advance, warning them about the noise.
When “People” caught up with Tina in 2000, the iconic singer claimed she had no plans to get legally married to her longtime boyfriend.
“We are married – we just haven’t walked down the aisle, and until there’s a need to, we probably won’t,” she said.
Turner was married to Ike Turner until 1976, during which the duo formed a successful musical group together. Following their divorce, she revealed that he had been abusive in their relationship.
