Now that Lindsay Lohan has signed a deal with Oprah Winfrey for an upcoming reality series, her mother Dina is opening up about her hopes for the show and whether she’ll appear on the show herself.

In a new interview with E! News, Dina Lohan discussed her daughter’s decision to star in the eight-part docuseries, saying she is excited about Oprah serving as a role model for Lindsay.

“Oh, it’s fantastic,” she said. “If anyone is going to help mentor you, it’s going to be Oprah.”

Dina added that her daughter is in a great place emotionally as she prepares to exit rehab at the end of the month. As for whether she will join her daughter on the show, the star’s former momager said, “Possibly! It’s about family… and I’m family.”

Meanwhile, Dina cleared up rumors that Lindsay would be moving back home with her to Long Island.

“Lindsay is 27, my kids all have their own places,” she told E! “She’s not going to move back home. She’ll be getting an apartment in New York.”

Dina Lohan also starred in her own reality series, “Living Lohan,” a few years back on the E! network. The show centered on the Lohan family, though Lindsay chose not to be featured.

Lindsay’s hour-long special with Oprah will air on the OWN cable network in August, soon after her July 31 release from rehab. Her forthcoming reality series will air sometime in 2014.
