With so many movies being released throughout the year, it can be hard to keep track. To help, check out our preview of the movies that are opening this weekend:

Top Pick: “The Way, Way Back” opened in select cities last week, but the cute indie comedy is getting a wider release this weekend. With an all-star cast that Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney and AnnaSophia Robb (“The Carrie Diaries”), the film stars relative newcomer Liam James in a coming-of-age story about a boy spending his summer in a new town.

With tons of heart and a wonderful ensemble cast, this seems like the perfect film for when the summer blockbuster fatigue begins to sets. Check the film’s official page to see if “The Way, Way Back” is headed to a city near you.

Grown Ups 2:
This Friday, Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups 2” opens nationwide. The sequel to 2011’s “Grown Ups” sees the return of Sandler and friends, including Chris Rock, Kevin James and David Spade. Also returning for this go-round are Salma Hayek, “Bridesmaids” star Maya Rudolph, Steve Buscemi and Maria Bello (“Touch”). The goofy PG-13 sequel promises cameos from “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner as a rude fratboy, Shaquille O’Neal, Andy Samberg and a CGI deer.

Pacific Rim: The other major release this weekend is “Pacific Rim,” from famed director Guillermo Del Toro (“Pan’s Labyrinth”). According to the film’s official site, when monsters called Kaiju “started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives an consume humanity’s resources for years on end.”

The humans invented massive robots called Jaegers to take on the creatures, and the film follows the pilots who control the Jaegers as they attempt to save humanity. “Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam stars in the summer blockbuster alongside Idris Elba, Ron Perlman and Charlie Day (“Horrible Bosses”).
