TLC is getting into business with a “Friend” this summer.
Later this month, the network is bringing back the Lisa Kudrow-produced reality series, “Who Do You Think You Are?,” "TV Guide" reports. According to TLC’s official description, each show follows a different celebrity as they take “an emotional journey and discovers amazing details about a family tree’s deep roots.”
Early episodes in the genealogical docuseries new season, which returns later this month, will feature Christina Applegate and Kelly Clarkson digging into their family histories.
The new eight-episode season will also feature Chelsea Handler, Zooey Deschanel, “NCIS: LA” actor Chris O’Donnell, Cindy Crawford, Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Trisha Yearwood.
The show aired for three seasons on NBC before it was cancelled. Past celebrities featured on the series include Kim Cattrall, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rob Lowe and Kudrow herself.
The new season of “Who Do You Think You Are?” begins on Tuesday, July 23 at 9pm on TLC.
