The Patriots wide receiver, who sat out all of this past season because of knee issues, held one of his reading rallies at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square yesterday. Welcomed by Mayor Marty Walsh and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Mitchell entertained about 400 local elementary students and got them amped about reading. His book (available now) is: “The Magician’s Hat” is a story about a magician who, while at the library, asks kids to reach into his hat and pull out a treasure: a book that holds the key to making their dreams come true and allowing them to become whatever they want to be.
