It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood for Tom Hanks, who’ll star as Mister Rogers in the upcoming biopic “You Are My Friend.” TriStar Pictures announced yesterday the film will focus on the friendship between the host of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” and journalist Tom Junod. Junod reluctantly agreed to profile Fred Rogers only to find “his perspective on life transformed.” Production will begin in September, with a 2019 release expected. Mr. Rogers died in 2003 at age 74.

Kate Middleton's Hairdresser Instagrammed What She Packed for the Royal Tour

There’s no such thing as packing lightly for a royal tour — especially if you’re Kate Middleton’s hairdresser. As Kate and Prince William prepare to arrive in Stockholm, Sweden, today for the start of their latest royal tour, Kate’s private hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, revealed the essentials needed to keep Kate looking her best. In a post on Tucker’s private Instagram she shared a photo of her preparation for the 4 day trip, with various products and tools spread out on a wooden table with the caption, “Think that’s everything! #worktrip #packing.” (Tucker has since removed her account.) Along with an astonishing 13 brushes, 6 combs, 3 hair tongs and 2 hairdryers, there are 7 hair products on the table… most of the products cost less than $10.

Kate Middleton Donates Hair to Children's Cancer Charity

Kate Middleton doesn't just get her hair cut for her own personal grooming needs...She does it for a good cause! When the Duchess of Cambridge chopped her hair, she anonymously donated 7 inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs from real hair for children going through cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. It’s the same charity Harry Styles famously donated his locks to in 2016.

Kim Kardashian Calls Out Lindsay Lohan for ‘Confusing’ Accent After She Slams Her Braids

Lindsay Lohan commented on Perez Hilton’s Instagram calling Kim Kardashian’s braids “confusing,” the reality star retaliated by describing Lohan’s vaguely British accent the same way. Kardashian posted a photo to social media yesterday of her new hair with the caption “BO WEST,” seemingly inspired by Bo Derek. Kim is facing backlash and being accused of cultural appropriation from fans for her cornrows. Amid the controversy, Lohan took to Hilton’s Instagram to write “I am confused” when the blogger asked followers for their thoughts on Kardashian’s new ‘do. “@linsdaylohan you know what’s confusing…..your sudden foreign accent,” Kardashian, replied.

Pink is reacting to comments made by Grammy president Neil Portnow who said women in music need to "step up." Pink fired back on social media yesterday. She took to Twitter to say, "Women in music don't need to 'step up' - women have been stepping since the beginning of time." She went on to say that women "OWNED music this year...and every year before this." Sunday's Grammys were dominated by male winners, with Alessia Cara being the only woman to win a major award for Best New Artist.

Reports that music icon Aretha Franklin has personally selected Jennifer Hudson to star in a movie about her life, with Clive Davis apparently revealing that news at his big pre-Grammy party on Sunday night. Hudson even performed at the party, singing Franklin’s “Think” and “Respect.” They say it doesn’t yet have a writer or director so it’s still a ways from happening.

And finally so many reboots, so little time. A couple more now…The CW wants to bring Charmed back.  Freeform is rebooting Party of Five.
