Seriously, it shouldn't have happened. When you get down to the nitty gritty and the cream of the crop though this is what seems to happen. The little teeny bopper girls start voting for who is the cutest. This time Phillip Phillips was I guess.(who names their kid Phillip Phillips).
The talent on the show this season has been absolutely outstanding. I mean all three of the remaining contestants could put an album out today. From the beginning, when I first heard and saw Jessica Sanchez, I thought she would win Idol hands down. Then Joshua came on strong. He is such a throw back to that R & B that is missing so greatly from the music scene today. I can't wait for his first album to hopefully help fill the void in that genre.
Jessica should win this ...

Magical!

I love it when YOU have the chance to take the family to the most magical place on earth. I'm talking about our contest for you to win a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I went down there a few days ago to shoot a bunch of videos that you'll check out at Magic1067.com every weekday for the next two weeks. Just keep a list of my new location every day and you'll be in good shape for a shot at your very own piece of the magic.
If you've been to Disney World you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, you'll love it. It is without a doubt the most magical place on earth, not just for the kids but for us adults too. I just love it! I feel very fortunate to be able to go there every year to check out what's new and to be ...

100!!!

I can't believe Fenway Park is celebrating it's 100th year anniversary tomorrow. The Sox are going to play the Yankees, just like they did 100 years ago, except the Yankees were the Highlanders then. Both teams will be in their 1912 uniforms which will be cool and funny at the same time.
My son and I were at Fenway Sunday for the game and I must say the old ball park looks terrific! Red Sox ownership has done even more updates and renovations. Fenway as they say is America's most beloved ball park. When people come to Boston, Fenway is always a must see. Even though some of the seats are small with out a lot of leg room, and some don't even face directly straight ahead to the field, one thing Fenway has is character.
To this day I can still remember vividly in detail the first time I walked up ...

Do You Remember?

Do you remember when you would listen to the radio years ago and you'd hear your favorite songs? You would also hear that voice, that personality of your favorite disc jockey. They would seem larger than life.
This was all before you had any idea what face that voice on the radio came with. Since the years of the internet and radio station websites, you can find out what your favorite, or any radio personality looks like with the click of a mouse. The reason I bring this up is because I've always wondered how you the listener felt about that.
Did you like the mystery of not knowing what your best radio jock looked like. I know I would always try to picture in my mind what color hair they had, or how tall they were, or if they were slender or husky etc... Do you enjoy putting the face ...

Just a Tease...

You do realize that this incredible record breaking weather is just a tease right? Mother nature has a way of playing with us New Englanders quite often. This is what makes us so hearty.
The unseasonably warm temperatures not only play with us, but it fools the early spring flowers and the bugs. I was taking a walk today and saw a big black ant crossing my path. I said "big fella are you going to be in for a shocker".
It'll get cool again, and the heat may even have to go back on for a night here and there before the actual benefits of the spring season fully arrive, but I have to tell you...this is terrific. It adjusts everyone's mood instantly and makes for an all around better day for evryone. If this is how mother nature teases, you can tease me all you want baby!

No Thanks........

This is going to be short and sweet....even though I have a lot of Irish in me, I just have never been able to wrap my mouth around a boiled dinner. You know....corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, the works.
I like beer, I just don't want any green food coloring in it. I'm a very visual guy, so when I see the green in my mug, I don't know, I guess I just get psyched out about the color.
I do love Irish music, especially Danny Boy,(wonder why) and the parade in Southie! I love that so many seem to be in such a great mood on St Patrick's day, and that everyone is Irish. But if you offer me a boiled dinner or a mug of green beer...I'm just going to say, "no thanks!" I truly hope you had a terrific St. Patricks day!

Ahhh More Light!!!!

So let me ask you...how do you feel about a longer day, a later sunset, that feel of spring in the air? Yeah me too! It's the best. It's just what the doctor ordered right? No matter the type of winter...a lot of snow, or like this winter, hardly any, it just feels so good when the days get longer and the air starts ever so slowly to warm up. We always need it.
We had a couple of days this week in the 60's, and actually broke a record with a 68 on Thursday. Now I realize we are not out of the woods yet with the cold, but I have to tell you, this extra hour of daylight we're about to get dropped in our laps Saturday night into Sunday morning is going to be fabuloso!
So here's to spring being around the corner. The Sox are playing their ...

No Place Like Home!

I was in the big apple all last week with the fam. We wanted to do something a bit different than what we normally do this time of year, which is jet off to a tropical island for that elusive glow from Mr Sun.
I must say we did a ton of stuff, from the 9-11 Memorial to Broadway shows, to Central Park, Statue of Liberty, NBC tour, dinners, it never ended. It was actually exhausting, but very entertaining and fun. Walking around Manhattan, from downtown to midtown to uptown, you tend to get a real good lay of the land.
I kept thinking while in NYC how overwhelmingly humungus it was. You walk down a street and you can't even see the sun cause the buildings are so so tall. There are so many people, and these puppies are always moving real fast. It's like chickens with their heads cut off. It is ...

Why?

Whew...... for some reason Whitney's death has really got a hold of my thoughts. I'm sure a lot of it is because every time you turn on the TV, or listen to the radio you're either seeing or hearing Whitney. I find nothing wrong with this, but it does keep it extremely fresh in your mind. God bless her soul.
Last night in bed while trying to fall asleep I found my eyes tearing up as I thought about my own mortality. There's no doubt in my mind that Whitney's death has brought this to the top of my thoughts. I was thinking as I lay there...I don't want to go. I don't want to miss so many things in this life. I believe in God and heaven, but I guess I'm just scared. Most of us have no idea what our expiration dates are. All I know is I want ...

Don't Buy the Hype!

I'm as romantic as the next guy if not more so, but as the years have gone by, I've come to learn that Valentine's Day is just another way for flower companies, candy companies, jewelry stores and card companies to make money.
I'm not a bah humbug, down on romance guy. I'm just a man who believes in having so called "Valentines Day" more than on February 14th every year. I like to have many, many days all about love through out the year. I like to give my wife roses for no reason at all. I call them "just because" roses. I like to take my wife out to dinner" just because."
I don't need Valentine's Day and the jacked up prices on flowers etc to make me feel like I'm romantic. What about someone who doesn't have someone to love them, or to love someone romantically. Do you realize how much these ...
